Born in Hampton, VA, and raised in Jacksonville, FL, Kevia Ke'on Mitchell's love for storytelling is almost as old as she is. She began acting out stories from books with her stuffed animals when she was in pre-k, even creating admission tickets for her family. As she got older and consumed more stories, her favorite medium became seeing them unfold on the big screen. 

She became intrigued as to how films worked after seeing some behind-the-scenes footage on an old DVD she had around the house. When she watched movies with her dad, he would sometimes discuss certain themes with her in-depth. This gave her the ability to make connections to similar events and situations in life because of how he taught her to analyze the films.

When she has downtime, she is usually doing something creative like drawing or editing videos for fun, and hanging with her nieces and nephew. But she also enjoys keeping her mind sharp with activities such as juggling, solving puzzles, playing the piano, and the like.
